Unit 1 of China Resources Power Xinjiang Heavy Energy Shitoumei Power Plant, a core project of the national "14th Five-Year Plan" key energy project "Electricity from Xinjiang to Chongqing", successfully completed a 168-hour full-load trial run at 23:00 on June 2 and officially went into commercial operation. SUPCON Technology provided an integrated plant-wide solution for the project
As the core supporting power source of the "Xinjiang Power to Chongqing" project, the Shitoumei project is expected to have a total investment of 33.4 billion yuan, with a planned total installed capacity of 6.1 million kilowatts (including 2 million kilowatts of coal-fired power and 4.1 million kilowatts of new energy), and an annual grid-connected power of 18.5 billion kilowatt-hours. The coal-fired power project uses the world's leading high-efficiency ultra-supercritical coal-fired technology. After completion, it will transmit electricity to Chongqing through a 2,277-kilometer ultra-high voltage line, greatly alleviating the energy shortage pressure in the southwest region.
